Mac L, formerly known as Mac tha Knife (born Malcolm D. Lockridge in
1988) was born in Nashville, TN. He developed a love for music at a
young age and began writing rhymes at twelve, battling at fourteen,
and making beats at sixteen. At the age of seventeen, he released his
introductory mixtape, The Great American Paper Chase. Immediately
after graduating high school in 2006, Mac enrolled in Middle Tennessee
State University to study the music business, and obtained his
Bachelor of Science in the major four years later. His aim for success
is focused on finding a balance between skillful wordplay, relevant
meanings, and overall appeal, striving to break away from negative
stereotypes that has plagued the current generation. With a college
degree, a growing buzz and a strong presence in the underground, MTK
is continuously expanding to push the boundaries of Southern Hip-Hop.

On October 26, 2011, Mac released his follow-up mixtape Raw Material.
He refers to the tape as “a small glimpse of where I come from”,
referring to being heavily influenced by East Coast Hip-Hop. “Raw
Material is me in my purest form. When you break down how certain
products are made, you have the raw materials, which are the main
materials used to create that product. That’s what this mixtape is.”

Mr. Green “Live from the Streets” featuring the Center City Singers and Vinnie Paz

In the fourth episode of Live from the Streets, we take you back down to Gigi’s Bar and Grille in Old City, this time to meet up with Vinnie Paz. Vinnie has been busy promoting for the new Jedi Mind Tricks record “Violence Begets Violence” but he took the time to give us a quick “one two, one two” and a nice shout out . After that, we introduce John and Agnes who together form the Center City Singers. John and Agnes have been singing in Suburban Station everyday from 7am-8am since 1992 and are renowned throughout the Philadelphia area for brightening up commuters mornings. If you are ever in Philly and you come across John and Agnes, you should definitely stick around for a song and give them a couple dollars. They are good people, not to mention hard workers… and they deserve our support

The song is titled “Doobie Doo”
