Cyrano Sinatra x Dub MD – Madicinal Libationz 2: B*tchless Brew

Cyrano Sinatra (a.k.a. Cyrano aka Cy Yung) has reconnected with Dub MD to help remove a blemish from their immaculate first collaboration, 2009’s ‘Madicinal Libationz’. After assembling one of the most diverse casts of Hip-Hop underground at the time, ‘Madicinal Libationz’ was received with praise but ran into roadblocks to reaching as many as it could have, but this ‘Bitchless Brew’ will not have that problem.

The ‘B*tchless Brew’ features production from one of the UK’s best kept secrets, Magic-Boy, Cyrano’s familia, Centric, J. Slikk, Cynergy Soundz and Sharpcuts and extended fam from NC Hip-Hop’s stash of heatrock-makers, this is what should have been! Brought to you by Kevin Nottingham and RockTheDub. The project is minus a few choice cuts that will make their remix appearance for the forthcoming Anniversary edition.

No better way for Dub MD to say farewell to his freely-given, classic co-sign mixtape series than with this re-invention project, a return to the buffet of lyrical wordplay Cy dropped in April of 2009. And this is only the beginning, Cyrano and Dub MD will continue to keep the flame of Underground Hip-Hop lit. Sinatra’s 2012 will feature more from his 2-man group Steadyflow, as well as complete projects produced by Centric, J. Slikk, DJ Husky, DJ J-Rell and Doc Verbz.

This will also be Dub MD’s final “FREE” artist project, stay tuned over the next couple of months his official debut EP entitled “The Requiem” which features the best sub-surface hip-hop has to offer including Vandalyzm, Substantial, Sha Stimuli, Braille, Kam Moye, Spec Boogie, Kel Spencer, 8thW1, Genesis Elijah + more. Along with the exclusive instrumental album “P.U.S.S.Y.” with D.C. producer Judah and Universal Indie Records.

The group S.T.R.E.E.T. first came on the scene in 2001 while both Term & Ea$y were still in High School and a well received single introduced the duo to the masses and led to the two forming ST. Da Squad. Now 10 years later Term & Ea$y have joined forces to release this new project.

For longtime USM fan’s you already know of 5iLL & his emcee skills as showcased on every USM release to date…so in a way it’s odd but also fitting that instead of a regular rap album the multi- talented 5iLL wanted to bless you with an instrumental album 1st! Son of an accomplished detroit area jazz drummer 5iLL was born with rythym in his bloodstream. Pop’s dna is blissfully reborn and translated into choppin & loopin the wax in this hip-hop day and age. 5iLL uses all types of equipment and methods to make beats with, but he mainly messes with a Fisher Price my first MP (Akai MPC 500) to sample vinyl records and lay live instrumentation over. Skatter Brain Fokus is collection of instrumentals compiled over the past 4 years traveling from machine to computer to machine; city to city to city ; state to state; protools, to cd, to internet, to you. 5iLL has yet to track a single beat properly to this day. His approach to recording is a function of functioning with dis-functional equipment. These beats were created in the zone of creation, without any prior notion as to what it would sound like before. Most of these sequences are unquantized and freestyled with limited editing after.This collection of instrumentals is the beat makers meditation. Scatter brain days pass at a feverish pace, music can bring focus by seperating us from ourselves.
