LocalNorth and hunkE – NorthernLights EP

The NorthernLights EP is an international collaboration between two upcoming hip-hop artists. LocalNorth, an emcee hailing from Brooklyn, and hunkE, a Canadian hip-hop producer, decided late in 2011 to create a short but official introduction to both their distinct sounds. NorthernLights features booming, yet melodic and lush production matched with menacing, emotional and honest lyrics contemplating life and pain. The EP’s production samples exclusively rock music, including artists such Pearl Jam, The Subways, and Avenged Sevenfold, as well as samples from the films ‘Inception’ and ‘The Wackness’. It was designed, with seamless transitions, to be enjoyed from beginning to end, and to prepare fans for future projects from these two musicians.
