The Post-Traumatic Slaves present The Care-Nots – a collaborative project featuring Zoe and Nina Saraphina. The two came together in the summer of 2012 to produce a sound that echoes the Oakland underground and hints at boom-bap. With influences such as The Fugees, Jean Grae and Santigold, The Care-Nots hope to carry on the legacy of groundbreaking female artists in hip-hop. The Ills of Jack and Jill – the group’s debut EP – is a project consisting of short takes on human relationships and ruminations on daily life.

Production by Ahbs, vocals and writing by Zoe and Nina Saraphina. Mixed and mastered by Alfie Lenox at Post-Traumatic Studios in Brooklyn, NY.
