Digital City’s sound is inspired by Berlin melodic techno and ambient. From years perfecting his skills in the craft of sound design in his studio emerged 3 self-produced EP. With a programmer background and a strong interest in visual arts, his work gradually demonstrated an increasing emphasis on cinematic ambience and live performance. Part of the electronic improv collective Silicon Beats. he’s taken part in several live sessions and cine-concerts that reinforced that orientation, such as the outdoor public performance on David Lynch’s masterpiece Eraserhead organized by SAT in Montréal. He was also involved in the mixing of several individual releases from artists of the collective.
Le son de Digital City s’inspire de techno mélodique berlinoise, autant que d’ambiante. De ses années passées à perfectionner l’art du sound design dans son studio, paraissent 3 EP auto-produit, dans lesquels les ambiances cinématiques se développent de plus en plus. La participation à la création d’un ciné-concert du film Eraserhead de David Lynch organisé par la SAT s’inscrit dans cette évolution. Musicien, mais aussi programmeur avec un fort penchant vers les arts visuels, il s’implique dans les évènements de Silicon Beats dès la création du collectif, et perfectionne son processus de performance live. Grâce à son oreille, il est régulièrement sollicité pour contribuer aux mix d’EP d’artistes gravitant autour de ce collectif.
