I got a story ’bout society and it’s makeup
The pieces to the puzzle that create us
Metaphor for chess games we play, the stresses we face
Players in this game everyday
Life is like a chess game and we all play positions
Fighting for what’s ours aim of the mission
Many complexities of life know your role the team wins
Execute, the team wins in the grand scheme of things
Verse 1:
1. On the front line… is the poor… and middle class pawn
2. First line of defence in this killer ass war
3. The blood sweat and tears but they treatin his ass poor
4. Kill his ass off if his thinking’s a tad strong
5. Ill advised for him to develop a backbone
6. Fact only…look what happened to Malcolm
7. Nations built off of the backs of native and black pawns
8. Piece of the pie is all that we ask for
– Scratch chorus –
Verse 2:
9. From offence to defence, recreation to sport
10. Comes the next chess piece better known as the horse
11. Transport for law enforcement and the soldiers at war
12. And for the knight in shining armour holding a sword
13. Motto is ride or die sprint to the crack of a whip
14. And the scabs on his skin reminder of what happened to him

Verse 4:
25. Next shifty character is bishop, with excellent mobility and switch up
26. A real strong acquisition to pick up
27. That goes to great lengths a great distance

30. The sniper with the rifle with a gifted long aim
31. Diagonal direction is his versatile movement
32. Service with a smile while he’s shooting…

34. Represents stability, presence commanding no doubt
35. The king with the crown, father figure on the mound
36. Protector and provider but he’s gotta stick around
37. Keep his family in check but other players want to check him
